As long as I have faith, I am on the right path.

I realised, that was naive calling out to me.
Beliefs or efforts ain't enough.
Regardless of the strength, it all doesn't matter.
If it's impossible, it really is.

It is so, that many are not within your hands.
It's killing me to grasp the truth.
So now what's the next move?

Recollections.
These few weeks have been busy.
It was all made up of you, besties and loads of projects.
Yet all these ain't going to end anytime soon.
There's still 2 projects' deadlines and the upcoming exams.

UPDATES!!!

Its been ages since the last entry. I have been so occupied with EVERYTHING but studies. This semester carried so much meanings for me. Many entered and many left my boundaries. I am grateful and thankful for those who became part of me.

October is here again. We all know, what this month mean! :) I wonder what will happen this year? What initiatives do i need to make? What activities should i create? I am just too lazy to care now, perhaps when the date is nearer... I miss all the celebrations in Singapore so much, especially the never missed-durian-cake from prima deli.

The coming up weeks will be bustled with assignments then exams. I must strive for my DISTINCTIONS, though not exactly possible. It is time to settle down. After this break, i shall be a changed woman. I must be motivated!!!

Updates proved that i am back at down-under.
This round of holiday meant so much.

UPDATES!!!!

First of, i am suppose to be resting or studying now. BUT.

Nowadays, I am sleeping more than i should be. With 24 hours, i should only be allowed 3 hours of sleep. The rest should be spent wisely on my projects. I have 3 projects due on the same date, next week. Believe it! I am so screwed.

Not only am i a mess due to the projects. Adding to my woes, i have to work. SUSHI TEI. I had no intentions to begin "my career" yet. But, opportunity came knocking on my doors. It will be the dumbest move to reject it. Now, i am stuck with 2 projects and 2 days of work for my weekend. I wonder again, am i the fool?

Upcoming weeks will be the busiest period of the semester. After crossing the hell deadlines, i have to hibernate in the library for 9 consecutive days. Hibernation will prepare me for my first 2 papers on 13th of June. FRIDAY THE THIRTEEN! How much luckier can i get?

This semester taught me much. I learnt the need to GET A LIFE in aussie! Though i do not lead a totally colour-less life here. But somehow i realised that if i had lived my life to the fullest, i might not suffer that much. The sufferings came from dozens of sources. Note: One of the source, brought me to the deepest end of hell.

So. Instincts of survival prompted the works of "D" and "I" from the D.I.S.C model. I went all out to ensure that every minute of sem 2 2008 will be well spent. I got myself a job. I got myself a spot in COMSOC. I got myself 5 days of school. I got myself a partner for the aerobic classes. Is it enough to push you out of my mind? Or is it enough to make myself go bonkers?

On a more positive note. I am returning back soon. Days ago, I dreamt of walking down the aisle of far east plaza and marina square. Soon, i will be physically breezing down the paths. This time, one month ONLY. Its not sufficient but i am grateful. I love my family. Aw... "link?"

Side note: the following content may sound foreign to most. I almost gave up today. The ups and downs drained much of me away. I typed it out yet it was saved it in drafts instead. I realized that everything went down the drain. Your right, it takes time. Time heals everything. Do not hurt myself. It is STUPID. When will things be right?

Man shot dead in hotel in Sydney's east

A gunman escaped on foot after the fatal shooting of a pub patron in Sydney's east early on Saturday, police say.

Maroubra police commander Peter McErlain said a 31-year-old man died at the scene after being shot in the main bar of Churchill's Sports Bar on the corner of Rainbow Street and Anzac Parade, Kingsford, at 4am (AEST).

"It appears that anything up to three shots were fired, and the deceased has suffered gunshot wounds to the upper part of the body," Superintendent McErlain said.

Police tried in vain to revive the man at the scene.

Supt McErlain said the shooting occurred after several patrons became involved in a fight, and hotel staff alerted police by sounding an alarm.

"There were a number of people involved in the altercation - whether or not they knew each other is unknown," he said.

At least 20 people were in the bar at the time in a continuation of Anzac Day celebrations, including two-up games, that had begun the previous afternoon.

Police are interviewing witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage from the venue, Supt McErlain said.

"It appears that the firearm was a handgun, and we are unable to say whether it was a revolver or a semi-automatic pistol," he said.

Police have discounted robbery as a motive.

The victim's identity was not being made public pending notification of his family.

The gunman, described as about 182cm tall with a solid build, was last seen running across Anzac Parade after the shooting.

swedish meatball crisis

IKEA.

Ever since i tried rui's cookings...
One of my favourite past time was devouring those yummy meatballs from ikea.

The meatballs at my place had always been done by others.
My duty was plainly finishing them up.

On this fateful day, 1 April 2008.
I finally tried to get those meatballs edible myself.
But!
I did not used the conventional way, by pan-frying it.
I microwaved it.
It was stated on the package's instruction, to microwave the meatballs for 2-3 minutes.
However, it was not listed, how many should i microwave at ONE TIME.
So...

I placed ONE meatball into the microwave.
I am not trying to act like a fool or bimbo.
i just wanted to find out first, if the meatball will taste good through micro-waving.

Within seconds.
Loud splattering sounds came from the microwave.
Smokes were busting.
A very strong burnt smell overwhelmed my whole living room.

Andrew was HORRIFIED.
He claimed that i wanted to burn the apartment down.
Goodness.

What a disaster!
Its tested and proven.
Eleanor Wang has no FATE with any matters of the KITCHEN.

Thankfully, god gave andrew to me.
I am grateful.

Oh another interesting event happened today.
I had my hair cut again for $55 AUSSIE DOLLARS!
(Sheryl must be going... OOOOO....Aww...)
(One hair cut and i have got lots of boos. Will you go crazy, if i go once a month? I love your attention tho!)

Well, market rate here is $40 equivalent to Seletar Estate's Sally.
So $60 gives you Reload's quality.
I had my hair done by a Japanese lady.
Their service is really good and their smiles never melt from their faces.
Best of all, they have better skills than Kelvin!

Bad news is my hair is getting from short to shorter.
I do miss my long hair.
I can present a different person each day, with long hair.
Short hair though supposedly stylish, i do feel boring-looking.

I never knew how insecurity felt like.

I had always lived a bless life.
Primary school days, i had my grandmother.
Secondary school days, i had you girls.
Poly days, still you girls.
Till now, its still the girls and my family.
However, in recent history, you made contributions to my well led life.

The life that you had path for me since the first day we met, felt ever so protected.
But, these all changed within a night.
I reaslied that the walls had came down, crashing so hard on me that i felt breathless.
How much have you actually changed?
How much am i suppose to change?
I lost the original self, in this whole incident.

Faith.
The original me, would have lost it all.

Many of us were caught saying, " i could not believe i am back on this route."

Australia.
I finally came back to my nightmare.
Again, I start grumbling about this unforseen fate.

This time round, perhaps 4 months, perhaps 11.
Thats why i could not hold back those tears which were meant for myself to know.
The previous escape was not an imapct as it was short.
However, it's all different now.

The very first day, i felt homesick.
Never thought i would miss my "mummy" so much before.
If its not for you, maybe i will feel much better.
So this is how homesick really feels like...

My body still could not adjust to this foreign land.
I slept at 6am (3 am: sg time) and wakes up at 4pm(1pm: sg time).
The typical nory's routine in Singapore.

WORST OF ALL, I AM HAVING A OUTBREAK!
ITS BEEN SO LONG.... ARGHZ!
For the past few days, i been slapping tonnes of facial products on my face.
Toner, essence, moisturizer, pimple cream, night repair cream, masks...

Another bad news.
Been looking for houses but it was all in vain.
Huge demand met with minimum supply.
Its either not ideal or over-priced.

Anyway, school's going to start in a few days.
I shall try to fulfill my new year resolution of being "hardworking".
I LOVE DISTINCTIONS!!!!

2 MORE DAYS.

I can't wait.
I am so desperate for the air in Singapore.
I could not settle myself down to prepare for my last two papers.
Hope that i did not screw it, as its totally not worth it.
I need the credits.

Thinking of what to get, is pretty bothersome.
I tried my best.
Its never easy.
Tho it might not be the best, i hope they could feel the meaning.

I know i am being selfish.
But i really hope that everyone has that little bit of time for me when i am back.
Singapore, i only have 2 months.
I could not afford to trash it.
It means too much.

When we hit ground floor, the fact that andrew's exam venue
will be at level 4 sank in. I panicked. "Galaxy room or level 4 ?"
Immediately, my instincts made me call Grace, not bothering
whether is she asleep at such wee hours. To my very horror,
my dear Grace was deep asleep. I was desperate.
Several choices of helpline popped into my small, pea, exploding brain.

Number 1: Cheng en. He was helpful but his internet was not.
Still grateful tho.

Number 2: Sherwin. The call started with “ huh”.

Number 3: Weisheng. There was not even an inch of sound
from the other side of the line.

D-E-A-D.

Number 4: My beloved DONY LUKMAN! My hero! He got
me my details within minutes. I should have called him
from the very first moment. But thought he might be sleeping
since his having a paper later.

“Galazy Room it is”

I thought my nightmare will end there.

At 8.35am, I reached the racecourse. I am supposed to be at
THE GALAXY ROOM, level 3 by 8.45am. Again, jumpy cause
I had not a single clue where the hell galaxy room suppose to be at.
Here comes another “savior”. I was pointed up that weird looking building.

Up the escalators I went. I was counting the levels as
I approached the beginning of each escalator. “One”, “Two”, and finally “Three”.
Level three I am. I looked around me and guess what.
I found myself standing on a small square area, the connection point
between level two to four. I was horror-struck.

My first few thoughts:
“ I am going to skin Reuben alive at 12pm ”.
“ I am lost, seconds before my paper starts “.

Fortunately, I saw Andrew when I was near a nervous-breakdown.
He said, “Go ask for help from those examiners at level 4.”
I was brought back to reality, on what I should actually do.

The nice lady, told me to stay. Since all the papers are
going the same direction regardless of exam venues.
Fantastically, I was sat all alone in the entire column.
The outcast.

Nevertheless, I was grateful.

Now, wonder how i did for accounting?
I screwed it.

Never will i ever wish to see another journal entry, FOREVER!

18th July i left.

When i left, i was thinking...
Whats the big deal.
I will be flying back in November.
Its not that long after all.
Its only 4 months. Not even near half a year.
But.
When your physically here.
Things are different.
I do enjoy my life here, enjoy those whom i have met here.
I even thought, i might stay longer than the two years i was allocated.
However...
I can't wait to get my ass back to Singapore on 22nd November.

Why?

So much to do when i get back.
Although i do wonder,
after 3 months in Singapore, will i feel bored and yearn for Aussie?

My own space.
Its been long since i had such a change.
I realised i am still the same.
I need my own time after all.
Tho i do not need much, but i still need certain part of it.

Been mugging.
Tho not extremely hardworking.
But harder than usual.
Although harder than usual, but i still feel unprepared.
Feel that time is totally insufficient.
Every moment, i will be thinking of my books.

Even in my dreams.
I dreamt all about differentiation and integration last night.
Perhaps it was due to 6 hours of QMA.
It was an alien.
Though i am able to do much of the quiz now, i still feel unprepared.

I do wonder if i am giving myself undue stress and pressure.
But!
I think i need it.
If not, i will be handling the last minute issues again.
Not exactly that i am not on last minute doings now but...

Arghz.
I am overly-stressed.
I need to do well.
Well do not mean distinctions.
I am just aiming for credits for all my modules.
I really hope to achieve it.

I am trying to absorb the boring essay.
But i guess the efforts were in vain.

First my b'dae celebration.
Believe it, i celebrated almost a month earlier.
This b'dae celebration is so much different fro those i had for the past 20 yrs.
Every yr, i wil be pampered by those around me.
Surprises, presents, all planned parties.
This yr, everything was done on my own efforts.
I rem complaining to you, that if i am in Singapore things will be diff.
But i guess, it did not help much other than on the actual dae itself.
I miss the girls, miss the surprises that i always manage to figure out before it happens.

But at the end of the whole dae.
The party was alrighty.
It ended with me being smashed as usual. (Last yr was the worst.)

In the end, three of us ended walking around.
Found ourselves at the casino.

Ever since tt fateful night at darling harbour, trying to eat my fish and chips.

The guys were crazy.

Friday is the deadline.

Why the choice of SYDNEY instead of Singapore?
I missed all so much but yet i still chose here tho the option of heading back was possible.
I did my maths.
On my account. Tho what i spent heading back may be the same as here.
But. when i add all the amounts you all sponsored...
the value comparison differs drastically.
Not only that.
I really feel bad about it.
Those amounts aren's small at all.
Especially for some of you. *students.*

Feeling the hit of mid sem exams..
Suffering fro the consequences.
It hit me pretty badly that moody-ness seemed to be always in me recently.

Todae.
I missed almost all my classes. in fact, all.
Again.
I hafta to do smth about it.
BC: woke up late. no more morning classes i guess fro next sem.
Accounting: why check this wk? arghz. felt like an idiot walking back.
OB: totally could not absorbed the article in. den what for head to class? will feel like an idiot AGAIN.
OB lect: how come i am always late for this class? corrective actions.
Stressed up by how much i am missing out in studies.
i am super fucked up with myself.
so frustrated at my lack of self discipline.
I swear off, no skipping of classes anymore. (really hope i can fulfill this to the max)

Got so f. off by myself .
Feeling so stupid, that i went to trim my own hair.
I jus snipped anything that comes to sight.
Thankfully. the outcome still looks like the me.
So tempted to turn my hair str and short.
Perhaps thats what i gng to do when i go back to singapore.
I do not trust any stylist here yet to take tt step.

The drinks here are supposed to be cheap, but the place we went to was not.

However, the wireless part is not set up yet.

Saw her new haircut on friendster.

23rd July: The first dae of school in UNSW.
Not a bad start.
Everywhere i walk, i would see some familiar faces.
Why?
Everyone from Asia, migrated to Sydney.
Those from Asia, all acted as a BIG FAMILY.
But. The there are so many classes here, that most of us are not in the same class.
But, to me.
One is enough.

Next update.
Accommodation.
HARVARD COURT! MY NEW PLACE!
Its not confirm yet but should be.
Near to school, asian restaurants, supermarkets.
Security building.
Best of all, the place is nice.
Its been so hard to find anything that is not run down or looks modern.
Went to IKEA to look for furnitures.
Everything went for the cheapest and the most basic.
But. most basic can still be nice.
Simple yet nice.
You guys have not tried the feeling of setting a whole new home by yourself without your parents.
The feeling is fun, refreshing, great.
Your own sense of belonging.
I first started with looking for furnished place.
But now. i realise i much preferred un-furnished place.
Un-furnished means i do not have to use other people's used stuffs.
Hate second stuffs.
You would never know what the previous owner did with their belongings?????

I have so much to say but do not know where to start.
Most of you i have updated you all briefly through msn.
The rest here goes...

Life here is not tt simple.
Everything is so expensive.
Its beyond your imagination.
Just an example: one sms here cost 25 cents aussie! 8 times more than Singapore's.
Food here, nothing less than Singapore 10 bucks.
And its not FANTASTIC FOOD, ITS RUBBISH!
I am so broke.
My wish to head to Brisbane to celebrate a early bdae is gone! (unless that someone wish to sponsor me!)

I am broke to the extend that i have to think alot each time i wish to buy something.
Imagine the me who could not be bothered with much cash issues when shopping.
But, Now i am like near to the state that nothing could be bought.
Things are so expensive.
I really wonder how.

Everything i did here was over budget.
From handphone plan to accommodation plans.
All much much beyond the original budget list.
This adds on so much to my burden.
There are really a few things with regards to cash issue that i have regretted.
But lucky, someone assured me. (daddy)

Other than money issues i am quite settled down.
I have found an ideal place (of cos the rental is over budget too).
Looking forward to the furnishing coming up in the next few wks.
Learning pretty fast my way around Sydney city.
Staying with 3 guys. Safe! ha.
For girls, you all should know its "a bit" inconvenient to stay with so many guys.
